About Me

Hi! I’m Isabelle Krishtul, a sophomore at Council Rock High School South.

Sophomore year can feel like a turning point, the moment when students shift from adjusting to high school to seriously thinking about what comes next in. I started this blog because I wanted to create a space where people feel less alone in that process. I understand firsthand how overwhelming it can feel, and I hope to help others along the way.

This blog will be a space for me to reflect and slow down, as I discover who I am becoming along the way.

I would describe myself as motivated and reliable, with a strong sense of leadership in the way I approach school and my community. I try to be someone others can depend on and feel supported by.

In school, I enjoy English, History, and Psychology. These are subjects that allow me to analyze people, ideas, and patterns of thinking. I also have a long-standing connection to music. I’ve played the piano since I was six years old, and it remains an important part of my discipline and the way I express myself today. Competing in local and international competitions has taught me consistency and the value of growth over time.

Outside of academics, I enjoy analyzing, creating, and writing. I tend to plan ahead and stay organized, although I sometimes overthink things – especially when it comes to academic pressure and upcoming milestones like AP exams.

I often notice small details, like body language, and I tend to be the person who checks in when I sense something might be off. I care about being present for others and making a positive impact, even in the smallest ways.

Recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about the pressures students face in high school, particularly around mental health and social media, and how heavily both are influencing teenagers today.

Through this blog, I aim to reflect and be honest about what I’m learning as I go. I want it to feel casual and real, and most importantly, not perfect (because nothing is).

My goal is for readers to feel understood, inspired, and encouraged to take small steps forward. I believe in the idea of becoming 1% better every day, and that’s the mindset I carry into everything I do. Even taking a small step forward is better than no step at all.

I don’t have everything figured out yet, but that’s kind of the point.
